Island Road
We used a combination of nature-based approaches to reduce marsh erosion and increase storm protection for the culturally significant, low-lying community of Point Aux Chenes, Louisiana. Natrx designed and deployed ExoForms and Oysterstakes to help stabilize the most at-risk marsh areas.

Partnered with various public and private entities to restore marsh areas and protect the Point Aux Chenes community
Created and installed 750 feet of Natrx ExoForm terraces and Natrx Oysterstakes to reduce wave activity and erosion
Created new oyster habitats resulting in new oyster growth, and cleaner water, within months
Reduced wave impact and erosion on the immediate marsh area
Constructed the project in shallow water with minimal disruption to the local environment
